My favorite...

A "favorite" can be so much different to people; to me it's hair in fashion!
My favorite work, passion and -fabric-
Here's my way of approaching it...

“Fashion 2″ : Milou van Groesen : Flair December 2012 : Benjamin Lennox

A colleague of mine once said that whenever he thought about me, one of the first things that hit his mind was the feel of "a lot of colors". He really moved me -for all of you who really know me; I love colors, so I really took that as a compliment! Like this editorial which in a way is kind of like Gaga-ish and with a lot of colors, and I, who both love Gaga and colors -I just h-a-d to repost this! ENJOY! And Merry Christmas! ;)

Bizzi Christmas update! ;)

I realize that the whole of december has been pretty crazy bizzi -therefore; also my posts in here has been with a little draft of time in between:) Sorry 'bout that! ;) As my first day of Christmas' vacation is officially hereby from today, I'll start to post again and up-date you about what has been going on, this is from sunday, and we did how-toos for IsaDora -it was pretty crazy!

We started so early that the trams hadn't started to run yet, not even the run boards showed anything! ;) You see, our location for the shoot was Farris Bad which is located in Larvik, a couple hours of driving from Oslo -so we had to start early to get there in time.

Ofcourse; being the bag-lady as I am, I had a "ton" of suitcases and bags with me -all the equipment I needed! That's the thing about hair; you never know when you need that tong or clip or comb...

Our Starlet model Amanda was briefed during our car-ride -I love multitasking! :))

The weather was pretty bad, both raining, snowing and being slippery at the same time, we were a little worried about making it...

Finally there, we were amazed how awesome it was! Have a look!

Caused by both misbookings and electricity challenges, we weren't able to finally get started shooting until 2-3 o'clock! We knew this was bad, but just kept on going...

After getting the first shot done, a lovely lunch and redoing the hair, we started to close in on our next take. We had moved from the conference room to the fantastic Fritsøe Suite! It may not look so awesome by the scenery here, but boy oh boy! ;)
Next! ;)

New change! ;) Waves with gold! I look forward to get myself a better camera to show you details better, but at the same time I'm glad I'm not spoiling your moment of surprise! :)

Let me remind you guys of the very fact that we had been working on this shoot since 9 in the morning and had a 2 hour drive before that -at this time the clock started to close in on midnight, so a coffee break seamed reasonable!

Finally! The LAST one! 3 o'clock in the morning and soon totally wiped out, the whole bunch of us were giggling and laughing till we almost fainted! The restaurant downstairs is such a cool place and so we had to this one here! Check out the lamps! ;)

Good NIGHT!

Sometimes...

... reality and family call upon you. These last days I haven't been able to write anything to you guys -the only reason being that it has been so much stuff going on, but without having so much to do with hair. Still, I want to tell you about my life and all the people in it, cause it's so important to the whole of it!

My step-grandma passed away last week, and because I feel close to her, I just had to travel home to say good bye...
She's also an old craftswoman, knitting and sewing and doing several types of craftwork with her hands, so I feel we're attached by being craftsmen.

I'm always so fascinated by old people that know their stuff, and that have a lot to teach away! I really think we should listen to what they say...

Desember is upon us, sowhen I arrived at my mom and step dad's place I ws so moved by how lovely everything was decorated... no surprise though;)
When you looses somebody that are close to you, those small things really starts to mean a lot! My mom had made an omelette to me as a late night supper -I appreciated that greatly! love comes in all shapes, sizes and forms...
The day came, and we had to go there; the church, the funeral, the tears... and all worth it!
Just the way hair is perishable, so is also we, and that's where the beauty is I think... A funeral is an act of great love, a prominent way of saying goodbye, and put somebody you care deeply about to rest...

That night, we had supper at my mom's, and my sister in law (yes, I call her that, though they're not vowed yet!;) ,she brought this red velvet cheesecake, and it was d-e-l-i-c-i-o-u-s! She's awesome on her gestures, always giving us a treat like that!

On the plane back home to Oslo, the sun suddenly arised, it was just so preeeeeeetty! <3
I did a lttle hair at a shoot, got home, had a powernap, and then I went to Schrøders, where the "old" guys at the salon have a tradition of eating, drinking, having fun and catching up, early in December.

So good to be back to everyday-life after a funeral! I'm really lucky to have the greatest colleagues to work with in a lovely company! Don't know what I would do, if it hadn't been for them! I always get reminded by this fact when we have these gatherings, and get-together-events!

So lovely to feel love for the people you work with!
We share everydaylife, happiness and sorrows and are true, true friends at the same time! <3<<3<3
